ESL Multimedia Language Lab Project

Installation Update April 23, 2003

Randy Wu is managing the installation of the new computer equipment. Installation slated for Spring Break April 7-11 has begun, and more time is needed due to delay in delivery of equipment.

Accomplishments to date

Macs were removed Thu-Fri Apr 3-4.
Tables were removed Thu-Fri Apr 3-4.
Network jacks were confirmed.
New tables were received Mon Apr. 7.
All tables were assembled and installed.
Most of the new Pentium 4 PCs were received Mon Apr. 7 and installed during that week. The remainder are due to arrive today, along with monitors and cables.
Installation of new computers commenced Mon Apr. 7.
Several room configurations have been tried. Furniture layout of April 23 is an improvement over original layout, providing greater overall instructor and student accessibility, including easy wheelchair access.
