the tradition. 6. Eventually, October 31 became known as All Hallows' Eve,
which eventually became Halloween, when some people still feared that witches
and spirits of the dead would appear. 7. Many Halloween customs that are
popular today came from the Druids, such as costumes, ghosts and witches,
cats and bats, and masks and bonfires. 8. Pumpkins are also a symbol of
Halloween. 9. Trick-or-treating is an activity for children, who wear costumes
and masks, go to houses and say "trick or treat," and receive
candy and money. 10. Today, Halloween is a combination of Druid practices,
Roman customs, and Christian traditions.
